The cost of certification

How is the cost calculated?

All accredited certification bodies are obligated to use the same calculation to establish the duration of assessments you will require to achieve and maintain certification; what sets AAC apart is the excellent service we provide and the competitive prices we offer.

The key factors governing overall cost are:

  • Your organisations size: Number of employees and shifts have a direct correlation with audit duration as it is a requirement for assessors to sufficiently witness and sample evidence from all key processes that fall within your management system.
  • Your organisations location/s: The number of locations your organisation operates from affects assessment duration as assessors are required to witness and sample evidence from all key locations and processes that fall within your management system.
  • Your organisations industry: Different industries carry different levels of risk, to counter this an increase of assessment time is allocated to these industries to allow assessors sufficient time to access complex and high risk processes.

AAC's prices are transparent with no hidden annual or administration fees to worry about, you can also transfer an existing certificate registration to AAC free of charge! You can request a proposal from us today to see the exact cost of certification for your organisation.

Who makes the rules?

We now know that all accredited certification bodies use the same calculation to determine the duration and subsequent cost of certification but where does this calculation come from?

The IAF International Accreditation Forum are tasked with maintaining the rules and guidelines for accredited certification bodies like AAC, they maintain a series of guidance documents to which accredited certification bodies are obligated to use. The benefit and core purpose of such guidance and regulation is to ensure accredited certification is reliable and dependable anywhere around the world.
